I debated between CR and Black and ended up going with CR. I loved it from the moment I saw it, but a lot of, "Really, you ordered red?" comments made me second guess. Now i get tons of compliments. The more open minded folks say it's gorgeous, and the conservative folks don't really have an opinion. I absolutely love it, have since Day 1, and haven't regretted it for a moment.

Also I don't find the maintence demanding at all. I just wipe the seats off with a damp microfiber, then apply Lexol leather conditioner, and wipe with a new damp microfiber. I do that every 4-6 weeks. No problems with dye, cracks, etc. I am careful not to rub against the side bolster when I get in, and I do only weigh 150 lbs, so I'm sure I'm about as easy on the seats as BMW could hope for.

YMMV.
I have CR and while it looks nice I am not a fan of the two tone int (blk and red int and white ext..) My first instinct was to go black but b/c of impatience I went with something on the lot. I get alot compliments but I still would go black..btw I do get some "girly man" comments on it, even from my wife

thanks for all the feedback everyone! i was 50/50 about the CR vs. black but i'm about 75% sure now i'm gong to go with CR... although black is timeless and probably the safe way to go CR stands out

If I'd gone white or black exterior, you bet I'd have done CR leather! Some people really seem to like it on gray ext, but it just doesn't seem to go well together for me.

Coral

My friend was going to get coral but changed to black with his space grey and now regrets it.

I've seen the coral with aluminum trim in person and it looks quite excellent

I have the Terrracotta and can personally vouch for the two tone look. It works well in the 1 series.

Black is safe but boring.

Go for the Coral !

I never planned to keep my car this long so I went with AW on Black. Anyways, now that I own the car and drive it everyday I can't see myself getting rid of it for a long time. I think the interior colour choices that BMW offer are brilliant, I kind of wish I went for Coral sometimes or even Lemon! I've sat inside a friends 125i with Coral and it looked great, very sporty. I've had my car for 2+ years now and I must admit I do love black because it keeps in with my white/black/carbon theme that I have going on. There isn't really a bad choice, I'm sure when you get the car you won't regret either. You'll be too busy putting your foot to the floor

On white I think red looks bad ass and along with black/lemon is one of the classic great color schemes. On my Tiag I like the black but it's a little "normal" looking. Some exterior colors scream for a more adventurous interior color to add that extra little wow factor

Love mine. Several people questioned me about it when I ordered it like syenisch mentioned - I got the "Really? Red? Are you sure?" more than a few times. +1 to M Sport for the black headliner.

Does this look like the face of regret to you? (My ED at the Welt a few weeks ago)

Red

I bought my car (2011 135) and i love the red interior. The black is nice, and it's not the red. The red brought in the contrast and i think it looks classier, IMO. Keep the red you will love it.

I hope this indecisiveness doesn't interfere with other more important things in life?
