Someone ran into my SGM vert on Thanksgiving. Took it to the local Mercedes dealer (right by my house). They did an awesome job of matching the paint - no complaints here. Hope yours works out ok.

Well picked car up and ok with paint match. There is a small line where they taped off the edge of the door jam.

But, but here goes --- this is the last straw. Now the comfort access is not working. It is the service dept for a look see. They have not seen this. They car does not recognize the key is near by. The key fob works and starts with key inserted but nothing without buttons or key in ignition.

Dang, you're having a tough time at that dealership (though many of them are friends)

I have never heard of space gray looking green at all.. The metallic flakes aren't green at all.

The dealership is a ford/ Lincoln/ BMW/fiat and most of the ones I know are in Ford and Lincoln and BMW sales. This is new territory got me on the BMW service and body shop side. The discount was worth some of the headache. Normal bill was over $3,000 and I paid under $2,000.
I am not sure what is going on with the comfort access. Hopefully it is a small issue with the new door handle.

Ongoing nightmare. They comfort access is repaired a fuse was blown. Now the door lock is bound.

BMW service found the fuse and are now fixing the cable on the door. (On order until after Christmas).

They kept explaining the body shop is not part of BMW. They are giving me a loaner for the holiday. Now that the car is in BMW care I feel like it will be fixed and I will be taken care of. I have been updated since they took it in last night and what a difference.

Thanks BMW.

Wow, the repair has turned into a Rube Goldberg-ian affair...
