Things are different when you buy a car for Euro Delivery e90fanatic. Essentially the car doesn't come out of the dealer's limited allocation of cars so they can afford to cut you a much better deal than otherwise.

Of course you also should find a dealer who has experience doing ED and is familiar with it. Some of them are turned off by it since they don't do it often or for whatever other reason. I did some research as I thought I might do ED but I'm no longer going that way. But you should be able to get the car for about $1500 over the Euro Delivery invoice price.

You can learn a lot of useful information about ED and ED-friendly dealers over at the bimmerfest ED forum.

Thanks, but I was wondering if you have the link for Bimmerfest's site? For ED, do I have to pick up the car at that dealership or can I request them to send it to another dealership near me?

I test drove two 2006 330i vehicles this week, first on a sunny warm day and today in the rain. Performance/handling was exceptional in both sets of driving conditions.

After my test drive this morning I put my $ 1000 deposit down:

330i
Premium, sport, cold weather
Metallic paint, satellite ready

Monaco blue, beige leather, walnut.

$ 40K even. Northern VA dealers would not come off MSRP but the suburban MD (not Rockville) dealers were much more interested in bargaining.

Delivery 5/21/05. I can’t wait!

2006 BMW 325i Titanium silver / black leatherette
Metallic paint
Cold weather package
Sport package
Performance Center Delivery (no-cost option)
Aluminum Trim (no-cost option)
$32575 + TTL (including $225 doc fees)

Kentucky-Ohio-Tennessee area dealers were not bargaining, some wanted MSRP + $500 doc fee. I also ended up ordering from Maryland.

325i
Black leather
TiAg metallic paint
6-speed manual
Sport package (yes!)
Heated seats

Ordered it on Thurday (Apr. 28) from an Atlanta dealer. Had the usual song-and-dance about 'no deals on new product launch'. Contacted another dealer and got an email with 2% discount. Took my new-found leverage back and squeezed a $500 deal.

I'm getting $5700 off MSRP (includes one month lease rebate from BMWFS)
Only catch is the "picking it up in Munich" thing.

marcus, which dealership are you ordering from? The best I got was about 5500 under MSRP. I still haven't ordered the car so maybe I can speak with your dealer?

$5500 sounds great...you really need to shop for another $200 off and buy your car on the West Coast?

I purchased a SG 330i and the only things that I paid extra for was for the SG and the sports package, and local delivery. The total price was 34,640. (But I am currently stationed in Germany).

I like the navigation system but I figure that I have never needed it b4, don't think that I'll need it now. (But I still want it)

I've got news for you. There isn't that much profit in the whole car!

The dealer's hustling you.

CapJack, I know that the profit is about 4000 for the dealership (non-ED) but once you see the savings of over that...it HAS and MUST be a ED.

I ordered a fairly loaded 330i and got $1500 off MSRP. They originally offered $1000 off. I asked "can you do $1500?" and he replies "Deal!"

We shook hands, I handed over the credit card and placed a $500 deposit. Probably one of the most enjoyable negotiations I've ever had.

After checking on Edmunds.com with options, this price works out to be $2250 above invoice. There may be better deals out there, but I think this was fair for a car that was just recently released.

I beat my expectations. $2000 off MSRP. Sweet. Congrats to all on their cars. The wait is killing me.

Which dealer did you go in the bay area? I'm planning to shop around tomorrow and see which place is cheapest in the bay.

I didn't end up purchasing from a dealer in the bay. A friend of a friend down at an LA area dealer got me the deal.

If you're shopping in the bay, go see Grace Wong at Weatherford in Berkeley. I was very close to buying from her I just couldn't take delivery here. She can't get you quite as much as I got off (its not common) but she came very very close if you get my hint. She was very nice. You can tell her Armen referred you.

Concord was great to check out the cars since they had such a big inventory but they had $4000 markup on their 330i cars on the lot and they wouldn't discuss anything below MSRP unless I placed a deposit. I would avoid it.

This is on a 330i only by the way. No idea about 325 pricing.
