Coding - I want to use the European/Canadian TPMS system instead of the US-spec
Hello,
I've read in a couple of threads that it is possible to code my US-spec 135i to use the European/Canadian TPMS system that uses the ABS wheel speed sensors to determine if a tire is low on pressure rather than the stupid in-tire pressure sensors. I've found this thread that talks about it: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=647204 But I was wondering if anyone has a definitive answer on how to do this? I myself have never coded but my brother has INPA and some experience with it. I would also love to take it to a local private BMW shop to have it done but I called around to 2 shops and although they claim to be fully equipped to do coding, neither of them had heard of converting the TPMS system over from the in-tire sensors to the ABS method. If I had an easy-to-understand set of directions to take with me to a shop that could work. Any tips, directions, or knowledge is appreciated, thank you! I'd love to be able to run different sets of wheels without having to buy $300+ worth of sensors for each.

I've ordered remote coding services from Alex as suggested (great communication and experience thus far) and I will update this thread with whether he is able to code my TPMS to european ABS-monitored standards.

Joester, any update on this? Were you successfully able to get the TPMS switched to the ABS-monitored system?
