that new RS4 is sooooo hot. LOVE IT!
I was considering a new A4 before I got my E90, too, but overall I liked the way the E90 came from the factory better than the A4. The A4's are getting PRICEY, too! Those S-Line (or Ultra-Sport) models are beautiful, though, I must say...

Right, the name of the game is personalization in this segment now. That is why I think it so important for BMW to get the 335, maybe a low ball 323, the E92, and certainly the diesels, to the USA market.

Using the same logic, someone could look at the RS4 and say, "Nice Porsche." |

You can get the same suspention for the regular A4 Quattro that comes with the $3000 S-Line trim by checking the "Sports Suspention" option, it's $250. The S-Line trim is mostly badges, wheels and aero kit. The 2.0T engine is very strong, and there is already a APR reflash for the ECU that bumps it up to 242HP and 292 ft/lb of torque, it's $600. People are saying it outruns the B5 S4 with the ECU upgrade. The stock exhaust is also very restrictive on the 2.0T and early reports from the tuners say it will put out about 280HP with the ECU program, high-flow cat and turbo back exhaust. I'm still considering the A4 as well as the BMW. One can be had for about $34K with the sports suspention, wheel upgrade, technology package and premium package with the 2.0T engine, 6 speed manual and Quattro. |

Well, regarding the topic of the 'better' navigation in Audi - while I can't comment much in depth about the technical aspects of it, the worst turnoff about Audi's navigation relative to BMW's offering is the simple placement of the screen. Audi's navigation screen is much lower than BMW's placement of screen, forcing the driver to have to turn his head down to look at the screen...whether glancing at the screen is for checking out the maps, looking at climate control settings, or music information display. Furthermore, the screen is exposed to possible glare, whereas BMW keenly placed the screen in a concaved panel. I haven't measured the screens directly, but it may also appear that the BMW screen encompasses a larger area, making it easier to discern things off of it.
