The 09 pricing wait is driving me nuts.

I have an 09 production number and the current major price increase rumors are driving me batty. If the MSRP increase is greater than $1K I would change my leather spec to leatherette. I won't give up the sport package or USB and those are the only other options I have.

Hoping for the best.

So they don't tell you the price before you purchase?? That seems wrong. I was told the exact pricing of my 09er when I ordered it in May. Wouldn't have signed the contract without knowing exactly what it would cost.

Ditto. My delivery date is entirely tied to my European vacation next year, so I'm going to have to suck up the price increase regardless.

If the increase is too much, I might just go with the 128i. (Not that that's a huge burden or anything!)

I am right there with you. If I did not have in writing that my deposit was fully refundable I would not have placed the order for the 09 either. This wait is driving me crazy....

I was told an estimated 5% increase over 2008's price, but this is through Pentagon Car Sales - a factory direct program from BMW AG (I'm military stationed in Germany). My total OTD price for a 2009 135i was $33,882 - the only option I chose was the Sports Package. I wrote a quick reply here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13566 to the 2009 wholesale/invoice pricing. Maybe it'll give you a rough idea for '09 pricing.

They have not announced 09 pricing yet for the US. The dealer has a refundable deposit from me which gave me a production number. I can still walk if the increase is too high.

You can agree to a certain amount off US MSRP or some type of discount off of ED MSRP now.The '09 pricing can't change that much ( 5 % ),BMW will price themselves out of the market, the 135 coupe is already the same as the 328 coupe. They have to stay competitive to MB and the other brands. They usually figure out a way to squeeze their suppliers to minimize the price increase.I'm pretty sure the destination will increase to 875. since MB has been there for a few months.

Who was your CA? Damn thats a great price!! mine (also through Pentagon) came to $39,452.00 for Space Grey 09 with Comfort Access, HD Rad, Prem HiFi, iPod adapt, Premium Pac, and Sport. And I was pissed I was going on deployment until I heard about MSP. Well worth the months away from home.
Are you Air Force or Army?

Do you have to be active duty military to qualify for the Pentagon Car Service?

beyondriddick - My CA was Terry Haverty at Spangdahlem. Like I said in the other post, I wish car buying was this easy! I'm in the AF... good luck on your deployment... wish my career field had somewhere to go/do.

jkp1187 - Unfortunately for most, yes, you have to be either military or DoD civilian employee/contractor. Also, you have to be outside the US and its territories. Here's the FAQ.

Darn. My father is retired USAF, hoping that he could've worked it.

Terry at PCS is my CA also! This is the second BMW that I have ordered with him. My first being the last time I was here in Iraq. +1 on the no haggle low pricing.

I, too, had to order a 2009 due to the timing of the end of 2008 production. I negotiated the price based on the 2008 price (close to a 3% discount from my final MSRP after options, etc), then they agreed to add only 1.5% to that for the 2009 price increase. I got them to agree that if the 2009s are more than that increase, my price stays fixed at 1.5%, but if it comes in lower than that increase, they will decrease my price. Seemed like a fair compromise to me.

You might want to read the 'bad news' found at http://stage.bmwcca.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2937 for BMW's shift in pricing strategy...and much more.
