Question Anyone installed Bimmian smoked lens film on tail lights??

since i really want to get black lines for my car it just looks like they're never going to come out with any so my next solution would be Bimmian's light smoked lens film (seen on JLevi SW HERE). Have any of you guys installed the film on your tail lights? what are your opinions? $55 isn't that bad so i might just pull the trigger. JLevi SW, will you guys carry these at MFest? i would really like to see them in person. also why is the 1-Series Coupe Taillight (08-) - Light Smoke listed twice with different part #'s?

Can't comment on the one from Bimmian, but here's what I had a local vinyl guy do for me. I would imagine it would be the same stuff. My guy had a light tint and a dark tint to choose from. I went with the dark tint for the taillights and light for my headlights.

Hey there,

It's a good option if you want something reversible that will withstand daily use and abuse. I'd definitely recommend it if you are doing the blackout look.

We unfortunately won't be at M-Fest this year but visit us at Bimmerfest if you will be there.

I would think it would cover the whole taillight. You just have to cut out the reverse section with a blade.

The Bimmian film covers the entire tail light, you can cut out the reverse if you want to leave that untinted.

should it be cut before hand or on the light because I am concerned about scratching the light.

another question about the bimmian kit, does it come with the 3rd brakelight?
