Dealer gave me delivery date 30/11.. its currenlty on the Taipan which is due in OZ this month, any1 got their 1er on that thing as well???

Hi Aus135i,

Mine is on the same boat. A 135 cert. Its going to be a long month. Its a lease so the only positive is the fact that interest rates will come down again before I finalise my finance.

Furo125i when did u place ur order?? or are you after the 09 build??..from reading here.. seems like mine was very fast.. ordered on the 28/08,car was finished on the 15/09, loaded on to the Taipan 09/10.. est pick up date 30/11... if all goes to planned it would have only took 3 month ... gota be happy with that ..

My 135i is October build as confirmed by letter from my dealer. Was given my VIN number by dealer. Was loaded on the Don Quijote 15th October, arriving Port Kembla 1st December.

Any dealer should be able to give you your VIN number from BMW Aus after build month is confirmed. All you have to do is ask.

My shipping details were also given to me because I asked for them.

We are now being told ours will not be ready until the next week and it was on the same boat and is being picked up at the same dealer....:iono:

Nope dealing with Peter.

He is actually a pretty good sales guy. Unlike the most of the ones we dealt with while looking at the 1 he actually had detailed knowledge of the car.

I just don't get the concept of sales guys who don't know their product. :iono:

The fact that the car is later than we had hope is irritating rather a calamity.

Besides, given that we ordered one that was already in production rather than a "made to order" our wait is a lot short than for most.

The funniest thing happened today . . . the dealer called . . . maybe my car will not be available on 30/11 . . . but would I mind paying anyway for a early Dec delivery . . . can you guess what I said? I wouldn't get too many sleepless nights as maybe you will have to have a few more than planned! I'm eagerly awaiting delivery . . . salivating at the thought of getting behind the wheel . . . but will be sorry to see the 130 go . . . we have had some fun times together

zuzu... thanks for the offer but I think we'll just wait the few extra days... if it is not ready this weekend we'll not be able to pick it up till the following weekend anyway... and at this point the less conversation we have with Trivett the better it is for my blood pressure
