Has anyone seen or had this problem before?

that looks like normal wear and tear. I had some buttons on the waist of my jeans, and one time I wasn't careful when Im getting in my seat. Ended up damaging the leather on the side. Is there any product on the market that can fix it or make it look better?

Doc Bailey's leather restorer works awesome on my Boston Black leather! It actually has a black pigment that recolors the leather and makes it look brand new again!. They make another version for non black leather but not sure how well that one works.

Even a leather belt can cause this damage as you get in. Buttons however are by far the worst offenders.

I know this may be a little extreme, but I also recently learnt a way to enter/exit the car that allows me not to touch the bolster at all, and it's actually easier to get in/out so it just became habit.

Maybe I should record a short video, but in summary, simply anchor your left hand (for left hand drive) on the bottom trimming of the door jamb (not the door sill but the trimming that's closer and higher to the seat). This becomes a support point that allows entry/exit without touching the bolster and some of you will fund this much easier. Afterwards teach it to your regular passengers so that they can do it on the passenger side (opposite hand).

I do this all the time especially when wearing jeans. My bolsters look fine.

^Ditto- Do this 100% of the time. Actually do it on all vehicles for the same reason.
