38 MPH and 21.3 MPG. The MPH has been dropping in the last 4 months since I got the car back on redelivery. After 1500 miles in Germany the MPH was close to 50 and as I can't drive 130 on my commute to work it has caused quite a drop.

Have you noticed that there are actually two places that calculate averages. One is on the display in the center of the cluster and controlled by the left stock. But, there's also an independent one in the stereo controls under computer I believe.

The reason I noticed is that my fuel economy average was different on the two of them.

I always thought that was just two readings of the same calculation. Are you sure they were different? I'll have to check it out on my road trip this weekend.

It would be nice if they can be reset independently. I could use one for trip and the other for the tank.

mine is like 13.4 l/100km. Is it a lot?
I converted you guys' MPG.
20.1 mpg = 11.702218743813193 L/100km
23.7 mpg = 9.924666529563089 L/100km
16.2 mpg = 14.519419552508964 L/100KM

How could you get 9.92? I drive at normal speeds. 11.7 L/100km is a lot better than what I get.

50.2 miles per hour
23.7 mpg (don't ask me how - and it peaked at about 24)

850 miles so far. I'm in the middle of European delivery so ideally my average MPH will still go up and the mpg will likely go down. It's been rainy here though so much of the traffic is going around 130kph - about 80 mph.

After I hit break in mileage and if the weather improves, things should get interesting. I have a few more days here...

Edit: ED is over. 1395 miles and the numbers are updated above. I miss my car already. She was awesome on the 'hahn today as we find ally had good enough weather to hit 140 mph plus. Just wish I has another day of weather like thisclast week where there was less traffic!

Too many uncontrolled variables, road type, trans, traffic, track, distance/time of measurement, ambient temp, mods...list goes on.

I'll double check again but when I looked at the one on the instrument cluster it said 12.3L/100kms and the one on the radio said 12.5L so I assumed they were independent.

Average Speed 42.1 (from new)

Average MPG 25.6 (not from dash display, calculated from initial fillup, I reset the meter each tank)

I was getting better mpg, but I recently started carpooling to work. The new route increases my time in lower gears.

22.5 mpg with average speed of 44mph.

I have a 128i (with 750 miles). Seems that the 135 and the 128 have similar fuel economy.
