aFe performance air filter

I want to add the aFe filter to my car, but my SA advised against it....my thinking is it shouldn't harm the car in any way....might be a really silly question but, is just purchasing the aFe Filter with no other mods a good investment?

No point really. If you are not going to put a tune in the car there is no value in just changing filters or the intake.

Ok. I was thinking it would be more efficient in terms of slightly better gas and a tiny blip in HP. the only actual mods i'll be doing down the line is the BMW perf Suspension or KW V2 with Non RFT's

I'm getting the PPK installed: I was thinking of getting the BMS DCI's. Has anyone had any issues with BMW service. I'm sure they don't complain about changing the intake - I presume it's a fairly minor mod.

I recommend if it is time to replace your stock filter. They are better performing over stock and can be reused so you don't have to purchase new ones down the line. With that said, remember that BMW will replace your air filter under the included maintenance program so wait for that to expire before doing it on your own.
