265/35/18 on stock 261M wheels?
Hi all
I bought set of potenza 235/40 & 265/35 for custom wheels which won't be here for another month and half ;( while I still have my stock 261M laying around no tires and my car is on the jack. I have second thought about getting Michelin for custom wheels and throw this tires on stock wheels for now so until I get the new wheels. I seen people fit 235/40/18 on stock 261 front which is only 7.5 which require 8" wheel, 265 required 9" wheels and stock wheel is 8.5". So to all wheels expert out there what's your thought? i seen a lot people running 255 no problem. My car sit on H&R super sport spring. Thanks all Last edited by Everfly; 04-05-2012 at 01:54 PM.. |

i believe it's been done, and it'll likely not be too problematic. i'd guess you have a much better chance of having rubbing issues in the front, considering how low the front rides on supersports. from a wheel/tire perspective, a 265 on a 8.5 is a little less advisable than a 235 on a 7.5.

Do you need neg camber in order to pull this off?
I am almost on the verge of giving up in looking for an aftermarket wheel and just stick with new rubber + stock wheels as my all-in-one setup for DD & Weekend tracking.

Everything stock but the springs. I think it's a little too fat for stock wheel though but it does fit and does not rub even lowed. I guess i use these tires for my new wheels instead and i am sure i will need to roll the fenders
