N55 Injen Intake Installed
Created a new thread in the correct section.
__________________ First off let me say thanks to BavarianX for the install. Install was very quick and everyone there was cool and very helpful. Alright now to the short review.. Looks: Awesome. The wrinkle black compliments the engine bay very nicely. Looks like it almost was meant to be there. First Impression: WOW. This thing is loud, in a good way. It makes the Turbo Spool sound so much louder. Getting on the gas and letting it off is so addicting because of the intoxicating sound that this intake makes. Routine driving is a hell of a lot more fun. Performance: I have not noticed outstanding differences but there is definitely better throttle response like others have said. The power also seems to remain "all there" a little more at higher RPM's. It does make you feel better that you have a little better airflow under the hood too. Anyways, here are some quick pictures I took of the intake. Sorry for the close-ups, didn't have the correct lens with me.

I like the wrinkle finish, all the ones I've seen were that cheesy looking chrome..

Great photos and simple review... I've had mine for probably 3 weeks now and I feel the same exact way... it was a great purchase. The sound alone is well worth the money.

just wondering after my installation, the air filter cone is an inch away from the air inlet scoop. How to adjust to make it stick really close? your pic shows perfect fitment.

You have to loosen the bolt that connects to the motor mount, and the 4 hose clamps... then just manuever things around until you get it to fit nice and tight against the black intake. Then just tighten everything back up.
