The problem with the rear end of the E90 is the design of the taillights. I don't see much of a difference between the stock taillights and the blacklines. The design of the black line is the same as the stock taillights. They look as if someone pinch them. Not the best design. Would not go as saying they are ugly however compare with the rest of the car I think they should have done a better job. So which ever taillights you put if the design is ugly it will always look ugly.

The white strip on the stock tail lights is LAME. Sticks out like a Nun in a strip club. Black lines are hands down, MUCH better looking.

Quick vote to settle the score. Vote if you 1) LIKE Blacklines or, 2) Not, stock looks better.

Hey....who's messing with my thread? I didn't put a poll here! This can't be a really good way to do a poll......all the blackline lovers are disproportionately attracted to this thread.

I was all set to get the blacklines a while back. Thought they looked sharp. But now I'm starting to appreciate the stock tail lights again. I think the look of the stock lights flows very well with the overall design of the car. To me it's a very European look, where as the blacklines sorta chops off the flow in the rear, especially from the profile view.

Them folks at BMW knowed what they was doin from the gitgo

I wish the blacklines were less black and had a more clear/white look to them. I would buy those in the second. THe blackish color to the lights make them loook ricey to me, more like a honda/toyota light.

Thankfully we have design experts right here on E90 Forums who have all the expertise in the world, and hence go abouts re-designing the car all on their own. Wow great work fellas!

You know I don't like what those stupid BMW designers did with the roof. I think I'll cut it off and make my own convertible, yeah that's what I'll do!! The lines will flow better.

STOP TURNING A CLASSY BMW INTO A FUCKING PIMPMOBILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, face it.

The majority of the world thinks the stock taillights look like shit.

Oh no!

Guess the real proof will be in how many people actually buy them. I doubt it will be anywhere near the same ratio.

No, that will not be real proof, because A) not everyone knows that the blacklines exist, B) not everyone knows where to get them, and C) not everyone is willing to pay an extra $200 to buy them, especially if leasing.

You forgot: D) Don't like them enough to care.

Hey, don't mind me. I'm just mad that somebody took my perfectly reasonable thread and put a poll at the top of it..........is that like thread-jacking or poll jacking or what?

No, most people won't even know they exist and many that like them won't bother because many people don't really care. The true way is the poll which clearly show the ugly white line that sticks out like a sore thumb is no very popular. I like the flow of the tail lights, but I don't like that super bright white line. Why did they do that?

There is a part of me that really likes the flow without so much clear. I may put the blacklines on just the reverse light part and keep the red on the outside. I just hate that bright white line. I am not sure about the clear straight across or not.
