Best leatherette color for Alpine White?

Hey all you Alpine White owners...

I know you're a stylish lot, and I would like to know your opinions and reasoning for choosing either Black or Taupe leatherette interior.

I have a week 37 build AW 135i coupe on order, and have a few more days to make changes before the order locks down, so please share your thoughts with me now.

Thanks all!

ditto. black should hold it's look better, imo it simply contrasts best with the exterior, some opine that the black 'ette/ black trim and black dash, wheel etc. are excessively monotonish in the aggregate but i just think it's sleek.

Thats not leatherette.

I went with Taupe, it doesn't get hot in the sun, and its got a different color interior than just about every other AW BMW ever made.

I got taupe , it gets very dirty.... not from spils, it looks soiled, and the texture is porous.. more so than leather.

I went with the taupe mostly because of heat. I have not noticed mine getting dirty. Now have 2200 miles on car.

black, AW + black is classic, owned 2 that combo so far, my wifes AW X5 has tan leather, it's harder to keep clean and does not look quite as nice, however with wood trim it's more of a luxury look, vs a sporty look

if you have a loud personality splurge on that red leather

I've had one previous BMW with light colored 'ette and it does get dirty. I've also had leather on some previous BMWs as well.

Black 'ette is what's held up and looked the best and what I now have in my 135i.

I do not care for the taupe. Blackette with brushed aluminum is the best looking IMHO.(I saw it at the Welt) I may change my high gloss black to piano black.(have it painted) Having the inside trim matching the outside trim might look pretty good. Very coordinated...

In California, taupe is all the way. I just came back from vacation where we had car with black interior, I hated it, because it heats up to the point you cannot sit inside. I’m so happy with my choice.

Thats typically what happens when you don't clean it. Its not hard to keep clean, you just have to put in a little effort.
