And you cannot build a 2er ---- BMW Canada is very slow to adjust their website.

I just wonder how many 1 series got sold total in the US ?

Must be a pretty low number since we only had 2 models...

Technically four, the 128i, 135i, 135is, and 1M. More if you count the verts and coupes separately.

My how time does fly. It will be revered as the successful "one" ever produced. We are very lucky to be owners.

"The 1 Series is a simple, straightforward little package that takes the driving experience seriously." -- Kelley Blue Book

"… BMW's entry-level cars deliver the marque's revered panache and dynamic properties with few other sacrifices, making them well worth your consideration." -- Consumer Guide (2012)

"The real bottom line, as opposed to the one on the window sticker? It's a blast to drive." -- The Boston Globe (2009)

Man, you guys got short changed...

We had:

116i
118d
118i
120i
123d
125i (128i in US)
135i
135is (Not officially badged as such but you could buy that spec here towards the end.)
1M

Coupe, Vert, 3 Door Hatch, 5 Door Hatch.

Not all engines were available in all body types (no 135i hatches for instance - until the F20) but a pretty good selection...

So dumb question of the day.....
Are there any future plans to make the 1 again?...or has the 2 taken over that spot?...

I think there are vague future plans to make the 1 a 4-door fwd car...but I'd be surprised if that came to the U.S.

The 1 Series model designation is now restricted to the F20/F21 Hatch. The U.S. does not get it...

I would imagine most BMW's in dealer inventory are automatics. I had to factory order all 4 of my BMW's since 2000 to get manual transmission, not just the options I wanted.

You're totally right, I was only speaking to whatever "1" platform ends up succeeding the F20/21.
