Nah, that's fine man!
For whatever it's worth, I'd really like a nice full grain cow hide Key Fob cover, inlaid with something like the 1 or E82, or... something subtle and classy.

That sounds pretty cool Alex. If you ever decide to have it made, get two and sell one to me.

Got an email last night saying my key chain has shipped. Must be on the slow boat from China since it won't arrive until December, possibly late December.

Here you go: When ordering a new programmed fob from the dealer, I purchased an oem BMW leather 'fob nest', that meets any 'subtle and classy' description. Dealer parts dept showcase item, pn: 80-23-2-149-933 BMW FOB list 21.00, net 18.90 My somber black int needed Coral red! ... also had black. Maybe others? Finely detailed finished in-n-out, w/ miniature roundel, stainless screw securing fob. Highly recm'd. On position, is 90-degree horizontal. FOB-centric. (NOT random blades 'ring/chain') Sorry no pix !

I received my $9.95 eBay keychain on Saturday and it's a reasonable facsimile. The 1 section is pretty close to the OEM version and the keyring is a little thinner. That and it's probably made out of radioactive lead from China.

Mine just arrived from China. The chrome finish isn't perfect. I would consider them factory seconds but will end up getting scratchy over time. I'll try to take a photo later. I figured it was worth it to pay 1/3 the price for the official ones.

I got my keychain, took 25 days. It already has few scratches from being on my key ring. The quality seems pretty good. It has a good weight and feels solid. The detail in the BMW logo is a bit lacking and it has one rough corner, but overall I'm very happy for $1.50. Bare in mind that I have never seen an original to compare it to. |

This arrived today. Not too terribly bad for the price. About what I expected.
