Agreed - i've seen a 125i up on Carsales for 14 months now - price hasn't moved and neither has the car.

I find it amazing that I bought my car for less than a second-hand one with same specs. I check Carsales once a month and see what they're going for, and am amazed every time i do.

That being said, the prices of 2nd hand 125s and 135s are well above what Redbook's estimation is.

There's already some good advice posted here, so I don't have much to add except be prepared to walk away. Even if it means you actually do walk away... I've had friends who swear by this method and they've gotten awesome deals from it.
