Dan,

I just saw the picture of your car with the
Chrome tips and I love it. If it's not too late
Please ship the exhaust with chrome tips.

Thanks
Brian

Any reviews from people taking it on the track? I'm looking for an exhaust that saves a lot of weight, and sounds louder at the higher rpms so I can actually hear it on the track with the windows down and all that wind noise, but also doesn't drone on the highway or is too loud at the low end. I can see this one saves a ton of weight from the pics, but how about the sound?

Just got mine installed. I will try to give a review as soon as I drive it in town, on the highway and at the track. Just from 1st impressions...I love it!!! The sound is awesome, louder but not too loud or obtrusive. With the black tips the car looks almost 'stock.' I asked someone who has seen (and riden in) my car numerous times if they noticed anything different with the back of the car and they said no. But when I started the car they said "WOW, that sounds great." Thanks again Dan!

Top of page two is my review... it touches on most of the points regarding sound. You'll hear it on the track, above 3grand this thing comes alive in a big way!

Def need more info on this B-pipe Berk. So what would we be looking at, as far as perfomance is concerned, when coupled with the Berk axleback? Now that we're looking at $499, I think I will be ordering. And if this B-pipe offers even more freed up power at a good price, I will order that as well.

Berk Technology B-pipe (mild steel prototype, production will be stainless)

The Berk Technology B-pipe is dual 2.5", merging into a Y at the rear most portion. Just like the factory system only larger and more free flowing. The B-pipe will not include the dual Burns stainless mufflers/resonators as pictured, we will be making our own lightweight mufflers for the B-pipe. The B-pipe is also completely modular, just like our rear section exhaust. You can use one, or all of our exhaust components to build the exhaust system that fits your needs.

We can also make catted B-pipes on a custom basis. We are required to run cats in the race series we are in and this is what we came up with.

Better weight distribution is one of the added benefits of our exhaust system. The OEM rear muffler hangs way past the rear axle and is essentially a 40lb ballast that acts like a pendulum. Our B-pipe & rear section removes as much weight as possible from the rear end of the car and redistributes that weight low and in the center of the car. I understand that the 135i isn't exactly a 1600lb formula car but any amount of weight savings and proper redistribution of weight is always a good thing. Your sig states that you're looking for a free flowing exhaust, this is the system you've been searching for.

Cheers,
Berk Technology

PS - The new graphics & wheel package. How do you guys like it?

So...my wife drove with me last night for the 1st time since I had the new 'exhaust' installed. She definitely noticed when I started the car it was louder and said, "Did you want it like this." I said yes, and we continued to drive. After about 5 minutes and on the way home she said, "I really like it...and it sounds aggressive." I personally love it, but still have the OE BMW muffler just in case I what to have the 'quiet' sound back one day

Hi guys,

The B-pipes are 100% plug and play. Just like our rear section exhaust it is 100% modular and will fit exactly like stock. Once you get the car up in the air you can swap your factory B-pipe with the Berk without having to cut/alter/bend etc. a single factory part.

ETA on the midpipes is ~8 weeks.

Well my exhaust is here, finally!

Seems like this is Berk's 2nd batch as it looks a bit different than the pictures on vividracing's site (doesn't have that break before the split). The little postcard and stickers they include are a nice touch.

I hear something inside when I pick up the exhaust and shake it around... can't seem to get it out no matter what I do and I have no idea what it is... oh well.

Hopefully I have time tomorrow to go down to my local shop and get it put on.

looks good! Mine was an initial prototype and also has the chrome tips. They probably do the black completely like that. If something is in there, I am sure it will shootout when the car is started! Glad you got it! Post pics installed and a video.
