Sell Your Car, Don't Trade It

Dealers make money on the car they sell you and on the car you trade. If the trade is a good one they might clean it up and sell it themselves. Otherwise, they're going to wholesale it. If you sell your car yourself, you're likely to do much better. Plus, having cash to work with means one less variable when working your best deal with the dealership.

Shop around for interest rates. The Mercedes deal isn't all that great. Plus, even though we have a bunch of C300 fans here the car isn't a lot of fun to drive. There's good reason why they're blowing out the C300, while the 1-series (other than verts) are more expensive to buy right now. Heck if you want a really cheap MB C300 go buy a Chrysler 300C. Like most BMW's you will not tire of driving the 128i. It will still be fun well after it's paid off.
