I saw your car @ SEMA this past year and thought it looked fantastic. I feel it didnt get enough attention because of where it was parked but it left me craving a 1M even more than I did before.

i'm running the Macht Schnell tow strap from EAS

http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...port-tow-strap

yes the tow strap is a little long for our chassis (i think it was maybe designed with M3 in mind), but when you remove the bumper for install, you can fold and tuck in the strap to the desired length and it will sit the way you want it to sit. @papethova and bobbydigital thought it'd be funny to pull on my strap at one of the meets so its hanging a bit lower that it was right after the install I did with @ilikebmxbikes but other than that, i love this tow strap, i recommend it

Thanks for the quick response, good to know. It looks like the only one that does not require removal of the bumper is the turner one. Maybe I will go down that route as I am just looking for any easy on/off when I need it.

i was running my tow hook as a permanent fixture on the car and after a year i got jacked, so i was all for the bumper removal to install this tow strap. but you're right, the Turner version doesnt seem like it requires bumper removal so if that works for you, let us know how it goes!

The turner one may even require bumper removal. Our tow hook space / covers are super small. The one benefit of removing the bumper is no one can jack your tow strap off your car.

After the tow strap is installed, you can tuck it back in without having to remove the bumper again. Its just the initial install it has to come out. On turners page for their straps, you can see even they tucked their strap in in the same fashion as Einser and I.

makes sense. i need to kick it around. in essence, i am not too worried about someone taking it. i would not run this strap on the streets. i would only use it for track days. i just think its cheap enough and cool enough that for track days i will put it on instad of the metal one.

I wouldnt buy one for a 1M if you want to take it off after track days. I would go with the metal hook or simply use the stock one if necessary.
