checkin in from Italy

Just thought I'd post to let you all know the 1er is right at home here in Europe (and in my hands finally!). The car will be fully broken in before sending it home in Amsterdam next week. I already have 947 miles on it, and by the time I hit Germany's Autobahn again, I'll be able to take it to the limit (my limit will likely hit much sooner than the car's though... jesus this thing is scary).

Too bad the contest for the best 1er pic is over, I'm getting some good ones here. I'll post when I get back.

It is so much fun to drive over here in Germany and it will be so hard to go back to the states and do 65 mph.

Are rock chips on the front bumper and hood a problem over there as they are here back in the states?

Using my week of driving in Germany as a reference, definitely not. The autobahn is so smooth and bump-free it's remarkable. I think that also translates to less loose gravel rolling around on the highway surfaces, and I didn't notice any rocks or chipping even at speeds that would be illegal in the US.

Ok, because my main concern is that I reaaaally wanna do ED, but I also want a clear bra, so I don't want to go there have fun in it and get rock chips, leaving for a crappy clear bra afterwards. Unless VPC fixes the rock chips for you hehe.
