How much do M3 wishbones add to front track on 135i

I am curious before I do this mod how much more front track you get. From pictures I have seen it looks like it is noteworthy.

The extra track width on an M3 is almost all from the wheel. While the M3 arm is longer, and will increase the track some, it's very small, just a few mm's I'd say.

Thanks! I do not have a lot of room up front with the wheel/tire combination I have and did not want to have to change wheels.

they add a slight amount of negative camber, this creates slightly more clearance for wheels/tires.

what are you doing this mod if not for that? and if your spending that kind of money, why not get camber plates, it's what the 1 series really needs.

Until there are firmer replacement bushings being produced for the 1er's stock parts, the M3 parts do tighten up the front end, more than I thought they would. There is definitely less vagueness with the M parts installed, plus it gives about an additional half deg of neg camber...

I do totally agree that camber plates are needed too though, if you want more than -1.3 to -1.5 deg, which is what you can get without camber plates (M tension and control arms, lowered, and with alignment pin removal).

It also would allow you have more choices on tire/wheels to stuff under the fender.

Garage List
I just ordered the M3 set from Harold at HP (and he tricked me in to ordering an LSD also..lol). I'm also having a set of Toyo T1R's installed today. My front wheels are 19x8.5, et43. I had 225/35's but decided to go up to 235's to try to help the understeer. It will be a few weeks before I get the control arms installed so it will be interesting to see if I rub at all (I also have rear rubbing issues that I'm working on). If I do rub then I'll see if the control arm camber benefit fixes it. If not I'll remove my pin (which I may do anyways). My last option will be to remove a little of my drop. Some front camber will help my tire wear problems anyways. The opposite is the case in the back, my drop gave me too much camber, the inside of my rear tires are gone.
