Positioning a lift on the frame?
When I use the jack, it fits inside the four plastic jack guides. When I have the car serviced at my indie shop, they position the arms of the lift ON the plastic jack guides rather than on the frame directly - as I would expect.
I found this picture in another thread which shows arms on the frame. Are the plastic jack guides strong enough to be used this way?

The car is lifted on the 4 plastic jacking points no matter if using a floor jack or a regular lift. Additionally there is the forward jack point and the diff.
Also, the picture you posted looks like a fairly modified car. Possible too low and maybe has a cage? |
