I am getting my e90 xi on Wednesday and just wanted to know if the Halogen Headlights have angel eyes. I searched but didn't get a solid answer. Thanks

They come standard on the 330i and 330xi and they are optional on the 325i and 325xi.. They are included in the Xenon adaptive headlight feature.

I have halogens on both cars (cheapskate). The xenons are much nicer and the angel eyes cause me envy... maybe next time.

There there ledzep. I too have halogen lights and I have no problem with them for the next 6 and a bit years or so. Perhaps on the next model cars they will be standard in more models- even in the mid life update on the e90, you may find the 325 having them as standard.

You can buy the xenons on Ebay. Anywhere from $1500-$3000. I imagine there's a bit or wiring also for several reasons. The xenons have ballasts. Also, when you 'flash' your high beams, you are flashing the DRLs when you turn on your high beams you are actually turning on the xenon high beams. This is likely because an HID lamp can't flash on and off very quickly - they take a second or two to warm up.

So you need to figure that out. Then you have the whole adaptive bit where they turn with the steering. Not worth the hassle if you ask me.

If you really want the angel eyes, there are several kits available - also on Ebay. I assume you have to cut open your halogens to put them in there.

Canadians also get standard heated seats (cold weather pkg) and a few other differences (like no option for comfort access in the 325i/xi ).

We also get hosed on the current dollar compared to the US and we don't get any benefit of ED (unless you count Edmonton Delivery as ED ).

Is there some way you are supposed to be able to turn on these rings without turning on the headlights?
