Shadowline detaching from channel cover

I was washing the car and noticed the shadowline is detaching from the channel cover on the door.

I can figure out if it's glued or what...

This is the part (ECS)

Suggestions?

I've had the same issue since I bought my car well over a year ago. I'm too lazy, so I have yet to fix it.

But it looks like it's held down by some sort of thick, double sided tape similar to what holds the trunk lip. I've thought about filling in the end that's raised with some clear caulking and calling it a day. Maybe someone with a definitive answer can chime in.

Yeah, I can't really see what is underneath without forcing it...
Anyone else had the same problem?

I guess I'll need to pull the door panel to see more

Yea... that happens. That was really the only thing that went bad on my 135i. Its just held down for some sort of double sided tape/film. I would use some clear silicone, roll down the window and tape it down over night to set. Using silicone will allow you to remove that trim piece at a later point... IF you need too.

The trim piece is fairly cheap ~$34... so maybe you just want to buy a new one and stick it on.

I ended up pulling out the channel cover, really easy to do. Just stick a screwdriver and force it up. Glued it with super glue and held it together with zip ties for a few hours.
