Bringing back a thread

I think I may be the only 09 that has it all. I have an E88 with Professional headunit and USB,AUX, and Bluetooth all were working but since the battery cable recall failure, All three are not working. I suppose the only difference is my car was made in Germany and not in the US. I have 2 boxes in my trunk connected both connected by fiber optic. I am trying to re code them but it seems no one else had this setup and what appears is that I have a 3 series radio in a 1 series car. I did not buy the car new so I don't know what the original owner ordered or if this was part of a package.

What symptoms are you having? do you have any sound? can you pair access your phone via bluetooth? it sounds like a MOST bus issue. Check all MOST connections are secure at:
- the diagnostic port under the glove box
- the mulf (boot)
- the tcu (boot)
- The connection on the back of the radio.

Otherwise maybe one of the modules in the MOST loop may be dead...

BTW the 1 series and 3 series professional head units are the same.
