Hello to fellow addicts...

After months of leeching/browsing this forum, finally created my id today...

So, Greetings to my fellow 1er's !!

For me its currently between 135i 6MT (ED) vs G37 6MT.

Havent been able to test drive the 135i stick yet cos most dealers in tri-state area don't carry it, so waiting for that...

I did however took the G37 drive and found it to be "ok" considering the sales guy didnt let me gun it so i wasnt able to get to the higher RPM-range where it shines (or so i am told...)

But the lease-deal I was given looks impressive:
6MT + Premium Pkg + Rear spoiler
24mo/10kmiles
$5k down & $250/month

Does this look good?

Will be speaking with some BMW sales guys to find out the leases for 135 and 335 before making a decision.

Good luck, but teh lease rates for the 135i are horrible, and you'll be close to triple that $250/month mark.

Either wait for the rates to fall for the 135i, get a cheaper to lease 335i (still more than double your current $250/mo rate), or stick with the G37.

Thanks...I am a N00B when it comes to leasing. I need to do some more research and figure out a way to bargain.

I checked with one BMW dealer and here is one quote for the 135i:
Manual+Sports+Cold
24mo / 10k per yr
$5k down (yes, i know its a bit too much..)

> $500/mo.

Do you own your own business? If not, leasing is usually a more expensive option. With a cut in fed funds rates you should be able to get an auto loan from a local bank on the cheap, probably less than 5%.

No i do not - im 9 to 5. I like the luxury of changing cars every 2 yrs which is basically the motive behind leasing....

You do have a point there about the fed-rates but i have been checking bankrate.com frequently ever since the first cut and have not seen the new-car rates go down (wierd?). I would have to see if BMW offers the 2.9/3.9% on the 135i...

There is no point in leasing a 1er, if you're leasing you might as well go with a G37, its a much better lease value.
