Will stock 1M wheels fit a standard 135i with drop??
Does any one have experience or can guestimate?

The front fenders are different between the two cars...the 1 M-Coupe's having flares. Don't think that the wheels will work on a 128 / 135 without similar lines.

1M wheels won't fit even without a drop unless you do some major fender modification.

nope. Not a chance, even while stock.
To put this in perspective my 17x8 et 40 wheel with 245 dunlops on the front (which are the same tire size, but a skinnier wheel with a lower offset) Barely fit in the fender on a stock suspension with no drop. Last edited by BrokenVert; 03-20-2012 at 11:19 AM.. |

Coming from an E46 M3, this truly sucks.
So what are the widest rim width & smallest offset can the 1ers handle? |

We have crazy low offsets. You can see that in my previous post. I rub slightly with a 17x8 et40 wheel with a 245 star spec on it. The back isnt much better. The same wheel and tire setup (im square) has not that much room, but it doesnt rub. I went with a mostly performance oriented street setup. |

Only real way to solve this problem would be to get the 1M fenders. Any manufactures offering this set up/conversion for us 1ers yet?

I just bought a set of Miros 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5 from a forum member. He and another forum-goer (goeslikeschnell) have had these on lowered cars, no spacers, no camber plates just negative camber with the stock equipment, though with pretty stretched tires. That's about the widest I've heard of with minimal modification, only half an inch less wide than the 1M wheels. When I get them and attempt to put them on, I'll let ya know how it goes.
Forum user bogart got some 10 inch wide ones in back (a custom job, however) and noted that even 11 or 11.5 inchers could possibly fit with a bit of work, but I can't vouch for that. Seems like 9.5 is the limit without too much work. EDIT: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=660440 <<-- he fit 10 inchers in the back on a stock setup, but they're 18" wheels. I assumed you were talking about 19 inch wheels like on the 1M.
