While I think the DCT trans is nice I would now get manual. I got it for my wife but ultimately I think I like manual better.
I more so got a 2011 b/c of the new iDrive. While it's quicker than the old version (I had in my 2006 330) I dont see that it's a HUGE differance. Sure the 3D is nice but I dont use the harddrive b/c everything is on my iPod. I am also not a huge fan of the screen..looks outta place. The shortcut keys are nice too. In hindsite I would save myself a TON of money and get something slightly used. There are some great deals out there. If you prefer new, I would skip the Nav and DCT. Others may disagree.. |

Perhaps the website is wrong, but I'm building a 135i on BMWUSA website right now and it shows $750 for cold weather package and $500 for heated seats. I may not be a math wizard, but pretty sure the difference between those two numbers is $250. Anyway, I wouldn't pay $100 for a ski bag either.

M-sport pack (sport seats, M-wheels, M-stuff and black headliner)
USB/i-Pod Cold weather pack Leather What I wished I had ordered would be also: HK radio upgrade Alarm (for the binking clown nose) and maybe Comfort Acess ? |

I love my heated seats.
I also LOVE the sport seats. took me a little while to figure them out, but they are bar far the most comfortable car seats I have owned. they are also the best car seats i have owned when it comes to keeping me in the center while i'm autoXing. 6 spd manual ftw. if you live in a place that snows - a set of winter wheels and rubber. (not really an option, but it is a neccesity.) |

Thanks for all the feedback!
Does the 135i come stock with all seasons? The only reason why I don't particularly need/want the ///M sport package is the fact that it comes with performance tires, which in Seattle (where it rains/snows in winter especially) could be a hassle. The sport seats are very tempting.. Anyone have any pics of AW 135i w/o any sport packages? |

2cents:
I'm only going to comment on what I have in mine: - Sport Package "must have" *Seats are much better *M wheel/shifter are nice - Premium Package "nice to have" *Autodimming ALL mirrors works very well *Leather is nice (go red) *BMW Assist "must have" - hands free calling will eventually be necessary all states *Power seats are a nuisance: slow adjustment - Navigation system "nice to have" *The directions are BAD, but I actually find the interface easy to use with practice *iDrive isn't like it was in 2008. 5 hotkeys + HDD system instead of DVD-ROM = fast *I leave the 2d map on almost always - Cold Weather "nice to have" - HiFi or HK sound system "garbage" *If you want real audio, you need to pay for an amp and real subs, HK is a waste of money - iPod Adapter "nice to have" *ripoff - Alarm "avoid" *get lojack instead. nobody notices car alarms anymore or cares when one goes off Other enhancements you're going to want - Non RFT Tires - Thicker front sway bar (potentially whole BMW performance suspension) |

options
#1 M sport package is a must, nicer 18" wheels, black headliner is nice I went with the coral red interior and silver trim...looks amazing!!!
#2 Comfort Access is a very nice option to have...its really nice to never have to use your keys other than to stick them in and out of your pocket..and for women I would imagine it would be the best since they could just leave the keys in their purse and not worry about fishing for keys.... #3 Premium package includes the power seats (very nice if more than 1 person drives the car) garage door opener compass and bluetooth and Ipod/USB hookup are a part of the value package which I think all the cars come with..love the bluetooth but for some reason the Verizon Incredible doesnt connect all the time...Ive heard this from other people too...but my tmobile mytouch and iphone work perfectly Id say don't go with the navigation...these days with Iphones or whatever other type of smartphone you have you really dont really need a nav...it's a waste of money if you ask me... You dont need the parking sensors..this car is too small to need it..dont need active steering.... I opted with no hk stereo and I kind of regret it....i have a 2006 325i with basic sound and it sounds pretty good so I thought it'd be the same/similar quality in the 135i...but it sounds more like my 1st car my 1992 318i (junk stereo) but a lot of people are saying that the hk sound isnt that great either...maybe best to keep the stock stereo and upgrade yourself? |

Any 135i you see with the chrome accents is a non-M sport. When you order the M-pak you get the shaddow line black out trim around the windows. I would not order the car without sport seats! Or the M-pak! |

I say the M sport pkg and HK audio if you like good music while driving. Personally I wanted a car that elevates the driving experience. Options like nav, power seats, do very little or nothing to enhance the driving experience. If i wanted a more luxurious ride i would of stepped up to the 335i.

sport package for the seats is the only must have i looked for when buying my used car. The BMW sport seats just fit me so nice.
anything else i could get by without. I do like the heated seats too, but they aren't necessary for sure. Joe

Thanks for posts like these. It's making me definitely considering the ///M, and sport at the very least.
Good to know its not a select few that think the seats/performance tires and worth the 1k. There's no change to the suspension from these packages, iirc. |
