I watched some of my video and thought it was a bit boring, not what I expected. The cars look a lot slower in the video for some reason

Yeah some of mine looks alright... There seems to be an annoying correlation between when I put my foot down and someone taking on the radio so not as many nice sound clip as I was hoping for mut still some good footage - especially of Vin and Karl.

Vinney - I'd love to see any footage you got of my car?

Great pics as always Angus. I think most of the footage I got is of Karl's 1M but I do have some of your car in the first 15 minutes or so of the first run. I'll make sure you get a copy

I was just thinking, for the next run it might be worthwhile mounting the GoPro's in each others cars so we end up with video of our own cars lol

Do you have the GPS version of the GoPro? I find the simultaneous speed display on my Contour GPS footage puts the reality back into the shot for me.
Only problem with the Contour is that the wind noise is pervasive. I'm told the GoPro does a much better filtering job so that you can hear the engine sounds.
Is this your experience?

I've got the Motorsports Edition Professional. I've seen the GPS version, it looks pretty cool. The sound seems fine, just not overly loud.

Mine is almost all wind noise. A few people have suggested a wind sock over the mike.
Does the motorsport version do data logging with GPS?
I bought mine because it gives 4 Hz sampling of GPS data, which gives pretty good lap times and speed recording. (although not good enough for 0-100kph or 0-400m timing).
Sometimes I wish I had bought the GoPro instead to get the integrated screen and better sound recording.
