Dinan stage 2 questions
I just got a relatively new 2013 135i (DCT) with only 17k miles on it. I’m looking at getting the dinan stage 2 tune but I’m unsure of a few things. I’m located in CA so I’d like to leave the car relatively stock, stupid laws, are there any issues with that/what kind of hp increase could I expect from this tune with everything stock? Also limited to 91 octane gas in my area. Any issues with tuning the car at lower miles? Also will this tune fix the throttle response issue with the DCT?
Thanks for the help |

No issues. Get it done. You should be in the 350 hp and 400 lbft range afterwards. It also kinda remaps your DME and makes power application and overall driveability increase. And you will get some better exhaust notes in sport mode.
Did you get it done yet after reading my post? No? Okay, well go now. |

For the throttle lag issue, the Stage 2 tune did not entirely fix it. After getting it done, it actually made things worse with the A/C turned on. With the A/C off, things were fine. Here's my thread on what ultimately fixed the issue for me:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1402323 I still get occasional lag events but not very frequently. I don't criticize the DCT as harshly as I have before with the fix applied. |
