(roughly the same sprint time and a lot cheaper than what you're thinking about Sparoz )
Actually it looks pretty good, and half the price!

However, the other car 0.4s quicker in Sports + mode and I need something close to the 1M Nurburgring times. I doubted the GLA will be anywhere near close. Not to mention there is a 21s optioned.

I'd prefer one of these if and when they come out and look this good.

I'd agree. The A45 looks don't work for me and my next car is likely to be the new Lexus IS-F replacement (v8 I hope) or the Infiniti q50 whatever it's called. Both should have 350+kW and still slip and slid a bit.

So 80k for GLA45, priced between A45 and CLA45. Good or not?

I would rather get the highly detuned RSQ3, APR it to 300kw, and blow the doors off a GLA45. The sound of the 5 cylinder engine alone is enough for me to buy the RSQ3 over a GLA45.

Window price was just under $90 drive away, (Needed the bigger optional wheels) so I'd been looking mid-low $80s.

Yes but the RSQ3 is detuned. It's only 228kw when a TTRS plus is like 280kw or something. That's why I said get one of these, spend $2k with APR and you will have a 300kw monster without stressing this engine!

I can't remember where I read it, but an article did state that engineers drove several examples of the rsq3 in different (higher) states of tune and didn't enjoy driving it as much, which is why they settled on the 228kw. Could be just BS to justify the detuning, but 30% more power could make it an absolute pig to drive.

That could well be right Piets94. This is why I would take Jaffa's suggestion and wait for a RS3. Hopefully they retain the 5 cylinder though!
