100+ new 1 series cars spotted in Atlanta
Thread with photos over here! :eyebulge:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=973079 They all have distributor tags... I didn't realize Buckhead was a distribution point if that's what this is. And, not a single red or blue one??

from his post:
"Alright, just got back from walking around down there. I talked to a woman from BMW North America. The cars were there for the principals to come from all over NA to test drive--the entire US and Canada. These were ALL 128s. I asked why no 135s and she said that those were all up at Road Atlanta, along with X6s and E92 M3s (coupes and sedans). Enough talk, more pics:"

Mostly 128is and all have plates.... can't be customer cars.
Free Beemers to Drive Revenue Systems The parking lot of Revenue Systems Inc. (RSI), an Atlanta software developer, is often mistaken for a BMW dealership. That's because virtually every car in the company's lot is, well, a BMW. The company gives beemers to all its 60 full-time employees. That's right: gives. When employees are hired, they are required to sign up for a leased z3 roadster or 323 sedan. The cost to the worker is zilch; the company pays for the lease, insurance, and taxes. The reason for the largesse -- which comes to $30,000 a month for the company? Looks like even more showed up now!
Well, so much for being among the "first on the block" to be driving the "exclusive" 1-er! With these things all over town you'll be tripping over them everywhere you go!

just came back from there. All 128s, fully optioned out. They only had a few color combos: white/red, black/grey, white/grey for the most part. I was disappointed there werent any 135s. The security guy said the cars are rotating with the M3s and X6s at road atlanta. He said the X6s may be at the parking deck on Sunday or Monday. I'll keep an eye out to see if he's right.
