Discounted tickets on Amazon Local Austin. Best news of all is that all seats are in the Turn 15 Grandstand. The deal expires on Sunday night.

I have been deciding on the BMW car corral pack as well. As of right now, doesn't seem like so. I called COTA on the phone to get the details.

Benefits of BMW Car Corral for 139
1. Closer and better parking (apparently paved? the normal parking is like dusty or something based on what my friend said)

2. Private tour of pit lane
This will be done Friday morning at around 11 am.

3. HOT LAP IS FAKE!! I spoke to the guy on the phone. What they will be doing is a raffle. They have a fixed amount of tickets for all of the car clubs. Each club will receive a certain amount, and your chances of winning are based on the number of people in your respective car club. The winners will be passengers in the vehicle of their car club (for BMW, I am assuming an M5 or something). These laps will all take place Friday around 11 am as well (after the pit walk through - I think the time for corvette is the time for all)

Here is my dilemma.. I have to attend a work meeting on Friday morning that I can't bail out on, so I won't be able to get to Austin until around 2 pm. Since it seems all the perks of the BMW car corral are on Friday, I may have to pass.

Instead, what I think I am doing (I need to call and ask) is getting Reserved Seating at Turn 15 (there are lots of open spots! online) and asking for the student discount. If they give it to me, then the ticket is only 45 bucks. I will also get the 3 day parking pass for 45 bucks, but my friends and I will split that cost.

Unfortunately, since I won't be able to attend until Friday afternoon, I don't see a point : (. Also, the guy told me the pits are open to the general public on saturdays so you just get a earlier access with less people and a tour guide.

the hot lap thing is fake. They sprung the raffle thing on us last year at the last minute in the week prior to the event after they realized they couldnt meet their advertising of one hot lap per corral ticket purchased.

I am currently efforting to make it down for this event...

Come join the Lone Star Chapter for the RUSH Movie Event in Wylie, TX at the B&B Wylie 12 Theater on Sunday, September 29th. SHOWTIME HAS BEEN SET FOR 4:00 PMwith doors opening at 3:30. We plan to have a dedicated parking area for the BMW Club member's cars and the theater is the delux recliner style seats with higher end food choices than a normal theater.

Dang, this is the same day as the NTBC event for the same thing the same day with a mini-meet @ 11 then a 1230 viewing @ the Studio Movie Grill in Plano then a Video shoot after that....wow what a busy sunday in the DFW for the BMW community!

I took my 2nd-grader to the ChumpCar race for a couple of hours on Saturday. We had a blast. I'm seriously, seriously considering doing this. We're building a new home and will have an available garage space. I consider this to be a sign from on high.

New rules are out for 2014-2016 so should be pretty stable for several years. Do it!!

Thanks Mark it was nice to meet you too! i'm glad the theater was able to hook me up too. the kids would've told there mom on me had I made them watch Rush twice the same day lol

Spotted an AW 1M by my office today. Had one of the black Texas plates with "1M" and something else on it. It was parked on Gilbert off of Oaklawn, 50 yards from where mine was parked under the office.

The house isn't taking up THAT much of my money haha. As far as I know I am signed up, really looking forward to it.
