I guess I dont see the point of downloading and watching movies on it. I cant imagine watching them on the even smaller iPod Classic screen. I would think hooking it up to a TV would be a PITA, just buy the DVD or rent it...

It depends, I personally have over 7000 songs (100GB) of music on my iMac. I have an 80GB iPod video with most of my music on it. Honestly, I listen to 1/4 of that music on a regular basis. The rest is just nice to have if the mood should strike me. I think 16GB would give me enough room to have a few custom iPhone playlists that would keep me happy 90% of the time. I suppose I could just hook my iPod up to the car, and have the iPhone bluetooth connect that way.

^ wow, thats crazy, but yeah, just keep both devices. Use one for its intended use, use the other as a kick-ass phone...

I finally broke down and got the iPhone. All I can say is wow! Since I also have a Blackjack and Blackjack 2 I thought I would really miss the 3G. NOT! There are so many free WiFi hot spots, that I end up using them instead. AT&T also improved edge. 3G is not the make or break for this phone after all.

The iPod nano has an even smaller screen. Saw someone watching a movie on it in an airport boarding area - made me laugh. It's like an animated postage stamp.

I do watch TV shows and sometimes a movie on the iphone screen though while on an airplane. I rent a dvd and then transfer it to the iphone.

I agree.

I currently have about 75gb of music "ripped". There is no way I would want to take all of it with me in an ipod. I rotate through a few play lists that I sync.

Ha, I couldn't wait either and bought one this past weekend. Unlike Chicago, Milwaukee does not seem to have all that many free WiFi spots. Edge is pretty good, but if Apple releases a 3G iPhone with 16GB or more of storage, I will defiantly upgrade.

murdoc158 do you currently use AT&T for high speed DSL? Is so, you now get access to all their wifi hot spots for free!
