Eibach Springs and Stock Shocks or Eibach Pro System Kit

I'm going to be lowering my car but I'm torn between which way to go. Here's what I'm thinking:

Eibach Pro Kit Springs and Stock Shocks

Eibach Pro System Kit

Both are a 1.2" drop which is what I want. Mod Bargains says that you can use your stock shocks with the springs in the ad description. What do you guys think? Appreciate any input.

No issues with your shocks? Bottoming out, anything. For me to just get the springs I can use the rest of the money I would have spent on the whole kit to put towards my exhaust.

Springs that are more aggressive in rates compare to shocks aren't a good idea in my opinion. I've had it before and the ride is bouncy.

Get the pro kit.

Thanks for the input. I'm assuming you mean the Eibach Pro Kit System (Springs & Shocks)

I have the Eibach springs with the stock shocks and no problems. I'd recommend getting aftermarket springs if you're going with 19s though.

I realize this thread is years old but at the time did you guys have sport suspension shocks or base suspension shocks?

I'm interested in getting eibach springs for my stock shocks, I'm just looking to lower the car a little and get rid of some body roll without blowing my shocks.

I have always heard that running aftermarket springs with the stock shocks isn't a good idea.

There's plenty of differing opinions on this, in no small part because every driver has their own priorities and standards for what constitutes "good" handling. Objectively, installing higher rate springs with dampers designed for lower rate springs is going to result in some level of underdamping. Whether or not this is acceptable is up to the driver, within reason. Lowering the car makes this more pronounced, as does installing the springs with worn dampers.

What I find difficult to understand is why anyone would go to the trouble of installing springs without doing the dampers at the same time. There's a bunch of shared labor between the two jobs, and no off-the-shelf shocks and struts are going to cost more than the labor. If you're doing the work yourself, well, I guess maybe some people like taking their suspension apart, but I'd rather do it all once and be done with it.

It's not.

If you want your car to perform properly on an upgraded suspension, you need to correctly pair springs and dampers. Bilstein and Eibach work together on this stuff. Running the B12 kit is the perfect solution.

I definitely understand where you're getting at. I'm just a broke college student that wants to lower my car. If i don't have to spend money on shocks, ill save the money and spend it on other mods you know. I'm kinda torn on if I should get springs + shocks or springs on stock shocks.

Springs + shocks or you will regret it for years. At this point, shocks will be zero labor to install. False economy not to...

You have any idea if Eibach springs along with Str.t shocks are a decent set up for street driving?

Long answer: Why do you want to lower your car? What are your priorities? How do you intend to use the car?

Short answer: I get it, but this is not the place to save money. Do them both.

Never heard of Str.t shocks. I'm running Koni Sports with Eibach springs myself.

Considering the Eibach pro springs with Koni yellows. I too am running 235/40r18 fronts (MPS4S). Should I expect rubbing? Or were you running stock struts?
