Track camera FTW!

Here's the rundown:

I get behind this friggin' corvette and he won't let me pass him. We can only pass on the straights. I'm on his butt all through the course except the straights where he pulls on me a little. So I see this GT3 coming behind me and I let him pass me... I figure I'll just drift him around the vette! Problem solved!!

Either you are a MUCH better driver or the Corvette driver was only driving at 8/10ths because there is no way even a heavily modded 135i could keep up with with even a C5 Corvette, much less a Z06. I'm guessing you're a way better driver than he was.

That background of the mountains are incredible. I've been on a track with GT2's/3's. They are amazing cars. Great driving, dude. What a difference in drivers between the 'vette and the Porsche.

Certainly a later model. A Corvette C5 =< 3300lbs w/ 350hp LS1 engine = 9.41lb/hp; A BMW 135i modded to 400hp at 3500lbs is 8.75lb/hp. Then factor in the Corvette's MUCH better coefficient of drag, lower center of balance, better suspension and you have a pretty close race at the very best. I don't think that Corvette was a C5 though; it was pulling WAY to hard in the straights to be anything less than a C6 or C5 Z06.

My 1er has PSS10 coilovers, H&R front and rear sways, Vorshlag camber plates, OEM E92 M3 control arms, OEM short shift kit, quiafe limited slip and Dinan exhaust.

Stock tires and software...

Soon it'll have Nitto NT-01 tires and someday Dinan intercooler, oil cooler and stage 3 software...

Remember, this is at high altitude..where the turbocharged cars have an edge on NA cars.

The vette should have been BLUE FLAGGED well before this happened for being a hindrance on the track. He is also taking all of the turns wrong. If he wanted to go for a Sunday drive he should have just gone out on some back roads.

It's not a matter of low volume...it's a matter of NO volume...

I might mess around with mounting the camera on the bumper next time.
