We turned the calipers yellow on our car during testing, and the rotors still performed flawlessly, no cracking spidering etc. I'm having our R&D guys put together a little more info for yall, I'll have it soon.

More details on vane design would be awesome. This seems to be only thing seperating the ECS rotors from the Racing Brakes ones. If the vanes design is similar, then this is a steal!

+1, the whole point of this was to be able to re-ring, until then I'll keep using EBC.

Rotors utilize a directional curved vain designed to pump air through the rotor and optimize air flow to maximize cooling. The heat convection (due to air flow) is considered the most important mode of heat dissipation in rotor design. The key to this is adequate air flow through the rotor. Straight vaned rotors do not pump air through the rotor and as such have inferior cooling capacity in comparison. The air velocity in curved vane rotors is higher than pillar-post rotors, and as such curved vain rotors have been shown to cool more effectively than pillar/post designs. Let me know if there are any specifics you'd like and I'll try to get them for you. |

The RB rotors are 2mm thicker. They also have more braking surface area due to the fact they aren't cross drilled all over, just in the slotted areas. I'd like to see a 2 piece rotor such as this for our cars with only slots or jhooks. I don't want drilled from my track application as they will crack there. All crossed drill rotors will crack from heat cycles.

What grade is the steel used? are the holes cast or drilled in?

The 2mm RB chose to increase in thickness can however make some pad/shim combo to not work. So it's a trade-off there. Given the cheaper price, I can probably take the cross drill and the thinner thickness. As long as the vane design is as efficient as the ones on the RB for maximum cooling for the size.

there's been interest expressed already plus it's a no brainer my friend. there would be more incentive to buy your product at your asking price knowing replacing rotors are available

I've got good news. When you're ready for a re-ring ECS will offer discounts on pairs of replacement rotors to the original customer or customers showing proof of ownership. Please contact me or our sales staff for more info.
Rears I'm still pushing for but as stated for the time being I'm directing guys to our ECS GEOMET rotors. |

Ive been running these for about 2 weeks now and I am really pleased with the results. I was having horrible squealing from the performance rotors even with new pads and removing the sensors. These rotors paired up with a new set of cool carbons has solved the problem so far. ECS customer service was great, and they look 100x better than the performance rotors as well.
