Painted my car

Light painted that is

I read up on the photography forums and realized that I've shot a lot of other people's cars but never any of my own.

Yay or nay?

Looks great. I need to lightpaint again now that it's warmer out.

Here is my first lightpaint attempt:

Yeahh man. Now about the first one. More than likely you had the camera on a tripod. Try not to have the actual light on the windows. I always start off with a base image that doesn't have any light so that way I can make it out to make an overall cleaner image. Make sense?

Makes complete sense. Like I said, it was my first try. I worked with what I had.

Black is a really hard color to lightpaint, but I'll probably attempt it on my car.

It's just a matter of practice and a bit of fine tuning. I've always owned black cars so it's not that difficult anymore

i like your second pic more. it has more contrast. also it seems in the 1st that the rear end is slightly out of focus.

That, while adding direct light to certain things in the frame.
