Today I had the car appraised by Carmax and got a solid offer close to what I'd like to get for the car. This means that if no one buys the car by Wednesday next week (12/12/12) then it will end up at Carmax, and probably be marked up significantly!!

I am dropping my asking price to $25,000 (PRETTY FIRM) for the next week, if it doesn't sell at that price it will just go to Carmax. That price is based on the condition of the car as well as Kelly Blue Book value, see the attached price guide from their site. This car is somewhere between very good and excellent in its condition (even the carmax appraiser said it looked fantastic for the milage). You can see that I'm pricing the car to sell, KBB doesn't allow for the fact that the car has been garaged it's whole life and maintained meticulously with receipts to prove it!

I'm sad to say I'm putting my car up for sale as I am planning to move back to the UK, and taking it with me (which I would love to be doing) is too much hassle! I bought it in July 2011 from Fields BMW in Lakeland Florida after looking at several others. It had 21,000 miles on it at the time and has been my daily driver on my work commute (Orlando to Tampa so all highway) since then, now having 53,700 miles on it. It has always been maintained on time and at a BMW main dealer (Fields BMW in Winter Park) or specialist (Precision Sport Industries in Winter Park) and I have all the receipts for everything done during my ownership. It is in fantastic condition and actually shows very little wear and tear. There are surprisingly few stone chips to the front, and nothing noticeable from more than a few feet away, I would imagine this is down to it being a Florida car! It has always been garaged at my house and in a private car park at work.

I will check the forum daily so the best way to contact me is through this post or a private message. If you want to email me then the best contact is boarderpat@gmail.com

Asking price: $26,500 obo

Specs:

2010 135i M-Sport
Sedona Red/Grey interior
Just under 54,000 miles (I am not daily driving but milage will go up a little)
Steptronic Automatic with paddles on steering wheel
Bluetooth and I-Pod connection but no Nav

This car is completely stock apart from:

18 inch Apex ARC-8's in Satin Black with Michelin Pilot Super Sports
20% Tint (Florida car!!)

The wheels and tires have done about 4,000 miles and were fitted because the car needed new run flats (which I hated) that were going to cost almost as much as this complete set up! I do not have the original wheels anymore.

Took the car for a drive to Tampa and back this week. I really will be sad to see it go but would prefer to see it go to a good home than to Carmax! Weekend bump!

I'm not really sure that's a fair trade, besides, I'm trying to sell the car as is. I'm 100% sold on going with normal non-runflat tires and would recommend this setup over stock ANY day of the week!

Sorry!

Only 2 days left before it goes to Carmax. Get a great deal before they have it and mark it up 5 grand! Make me an offer!

Sorry, car goes as a package! Carmax have a decent offer close to my asking. I'd just rather see it go to someone who wants it than see Carmax profit off it!

Well it really depends on what you want to use it for...If you read my full for sale post it does explain that this was my daily driver commuting car. I drove from Orlando to Tampa on a daily basis which is one, very straight, Interstate (I4). I would have loved a manual car, and looked at several, but on a daily basis, especially when sitting in 45 minutes of traffic every morning at the Tampa end, I went with the sensible option. The ///M steering wheel does have paddles on the wheel so on the rare opportunity that there were some twisty roads you can still enjoy some spirited driving!
