Mid-Ohio or Pocono HPDE?
I have the option to attend either (they are the same dates) and am torn as to which to attend. I have two prior track days under my belt with this car, and several other track days with different cars (SRT Experience, Exotic Driving Experience).
Pocono is closer to me (45 minutes), but more expensive. Also, we can only run the Single Infield course due to some NASCAR barriers in place, which is kinda boring, but this might make for an easier course to remember and learn on for someone of my experience (beginner/intermediate). I'd be concerned with the extremely long straightaway that I'd end up in limp mode fairly quickly if its a hot day. Mid-Ohio is much farther away (6.5 hrs), but it's... well, Mid-Ohio! It's also far cheaper than Pocono, but ends up being a wash since I'd have to book a hotel for two nights. I'd expect not going into limp mode nearly as quick at this track, although braking temperatures may be more of a concern here than Pocono. (Hopefully I'm prepared - fresh ATE Super Blue, Hawk HP+, Ti Shims, bent shields) So which would you guys do based on what I've presented you?

Go for a road trip to mid Ohio. Nothing beats a good track. You can always go to pocono since it's close by. I did 5 hr each way road trip for my last track day to VIR. It was worth it!
