PPK owners, can I have your feedback?
I'm looking for a modest bump in power, without sacraficing ANY driveability. I love the way the car feels straight from the factory, as far as throttle response and driver feedback. I used to run the Cobb tune, and even though at first it seemed smooth, after the initial wow factor of the new found power increase wore off, I began to feel disconnected from the car. It felt, like many people described, as an on/off switch. It lost that "Ultimate Driving Experience" feeling, but the power kept me happy. Since I already have a race car, I'd prefer to keep the 1 as refined as possible.
I was hoping that the PPK would provide a little more power, and keep the factory feel. From what I've read, people are happy with the PPK, but they mostly talk about the amount of power increase, and less about the driveability of the new tune. Does your car feel exactly like it did before, but with a slight increase in power? Does the car retain the factory BMW feel? Do you experience jerky throttle, slugish feedback, or any negative side effects? I doubt I will be able to return the PPK, or sell it once its installed, so I figured I'd ask now. Thanks If you could also include in your response, if you have previously used any other type of tune that would be a great help.

I've had the ppk for a few months now. It is a nice tune in the fact it DOES keep the "factory feel", just increases power and throttle response. power comes on quicker and seems smoother. I'm pleased, as I wasn't looking for anything too agressive now, bit maybe in the future I will try a COBB AP.

The PPK is a good daily driver tune. The car is very responsive, no longer mash the throttle and wait on something to happen. There is good corodination between your right foot and what the engine does.Just remimber that around 20 more hp, its not going to take your breath away. If you run an AP you can do an uninstall and the PPK will be your stock tune. I know earlier versions of Cobb was a little on/off ,but most users compliment the newer throttle mappings. What maps and throttle settings were you using?

Thanks for the replies. I ran the 201 maps, I believe. I no longer own the AP though. My 1 is my wifes daily driver, so I'd like something a little more subtle than the cobb tune, that doesnt effect the factory feel. If its the same tune that is run on the 335is, I would imagine it to work out very well.
