Fix for 19" V710's rubbing?
I just installed a set of VMR V710's on my 135i and the rears are rubbing when I hit a bump or corner under load! I installed 19x9.5 et.45 with V12 Evo2's in 255/30R19. I was told this setup would work w/out the need to alter the suspension or roll fenders. Could be b/c of the 45 offset instead of the more common 50 offset. I like the look of the wheels and would like to find a solution to make them work and would really appreciate recommendations from the folks here…
is changing the suspension the solution? if so, I commute in this car and won't track it, so I'd like a ride that isn't too harsh. I've had H&R Coilovers before on a different car and I was OK with that firmness. I don't want to spend a bundle, keeping it under ~$1500. Does anyone have this wheel/tire combo with a suspension that doesn't rub? What's the suspension? Do I need to go coilover with adjustability to ensure I don't rub or can I go with a strut/spring combo? I'd like to do the latter to save money if at all possible and I hear good things about the Koni Yellow/Swift R or Bilstein B12 kit. Thanks in advance for the help! |
