Microfiber Cloth Bleeding

Got a scuff on the car. Grabbed a microfiber, denatured alcohol and took care of the spot. Stepped back, and the panel where I worked is now green!

It looks like the microfiber dye has bled into the paint (and my hands as well). Any recommendations on removing it? Clay bar? Harsh soap and rewax the panel?

I grabbed a white terry towel + more denatured alcohol and a little bit of it came off but not all of it and I don't want to burn into the panel more than I need to.

Try clay bar.. make sure surface is extra lubricated.

That only takes care of surface imperfections... The denatured alcohol might've penetrated the clear coat and/or color layer.

Denatured alcohol is way too aggressive to remove a scuff, IMO... You should've started with something mild and work your way up.

I've heard 50/50 water alcohol blend is good

Isopropyl alcohol with water*

Denatured is intense.

If a chemical cleaner does not work, a light polish like Meguiar's M205 will surely help to remove the staining.
