Mirror caps look good! Is the weave the same direction on both sides or opposites?

That does not sound good at all...

Is part of the group buy which ends on the 28th so I am assuming he won't actually try to ship it before then.

So I am guessing it would probably take 6 weeks starting from the 28th.

I hope I receive it by the time i get back from Europe..

I will let you know though lol...

I got 6000K and got the OEM-Pre drilled caps.

I was thinking of 7000k/8000k but I think i prefer the whiteness of 6000k - more OEM look as well.

the carbon caps are tempting - is it a perfect fitment? or does it require a lot of playing around before you got it just right?

Yeah... Didn't even think about it when buying but I think if they both went the same way my OCD would kick in...

I am tossing up between the 6000k and 7000k as well. I don't want it to be too bright either otherwise it just looks like a blob of light.

+ 1 I wouldn't have thought twice about it until it arrived either. I think those weaves look pretty good though

That's a good point. From the picture of the 6000k on the 2012 1er it doesn't seem too bright.

How reversible is this cf cover? I can only imagine what a pain it would be to remove it if it's possible?

Looks fabulous Angus! Would have been better if these arrived a week ago haha ;-)

Also I want to get that cool hook you've got in the boot for shopping bags!

Yeah... Took a little longer than I would have liked to get here but happy with the result...

It's actually 2 parts - different mounting kit for different cars. This is the guy I bought it off and it comes with the kit and template for the 1 Series.

Oh sweet, I saw that years ago and have never got around to buying it. How did you mount it? Is it easy?

I shoulda mentioned that 6000k comes across as too bright and the inner will be noticeably brighter than the outers... the 8000k/10000k are 'less' bright (but still very bright) and the colour permeates the outer rings better as well.

The 8000k/10000k is blueish, but not overly blue... 6000k comes across as whiteish blue with a tinge of aqua.

If I was to get HID angel eyes again I'd def go for 10,000k just cause it's slightly less bright, a strong blueish white colour and better light in the outer rings.

You have to drill 3 holes in the underside of the parcel shelf but it comes with a template - took about 10 minutes and works a treat...

I'm confused. I was under the impression the higher the number the brighter it is. Sorry, I don't know much about headlights... I basically like the stock lights but just wish they were white instead of yellow. What would 7000K be like? Btw, I really like the lights on the new 3 series.

Technically the 'Brightness' doesn't change but after you go past a certain intensity or colour heat it starts to change colour and be outside the range of human vision...

Thanks for that I am not sure if I would want to get 10000k I saw pictures and is too blue for my liking.

I'm gonna Change my order to 8000k and hopefully the light distribution on the v3 is a lot better then the v2

Hmm now I'm really confused as to what I should get... it's either the 6, 7 or 8k. I don't want it to be too blue either. I think I may just go with 6K..
