Or stacking as in stacking pre-workout and interwork out supplements ?

Nothing to report as yet boys. Need my ECU version to be programmed into the firmware to allow the Flash to install. Ray forgot about me last night and COBB still haven't sent me anything.

I also had issues with my Cobb/JB4 stack.

Firstly, I had troubles with the flash install because the JB4 firmware wasn't updated. It works fine once you update the JB4 to the latest March 12 firmware.

You need to ensure that the JB4 Map is Map 0 (pass through) when doing an install or map update.

Then, I also had the unrecognised rom issue. After emailing Cobb, they told me that I need update my Cobb AP to the latest BETA firmware. To do so, open your Cobb AP manager, go to updates, make sure that "Check for beta firmware" is ticked. Your ROM won't be recognised if you use the Alpha firmware.

Then you should update to the latest firmware to support your BMW.

Then you should be able to test the Cobb maps.

FTW!

Edwin, I never thought you'd run anything other than the JB... to see you adding COBB is pretty interesting lol

LOL! I'm willing to give "MOST" things a try.

Haha Ray. Just want the COBB's back end fuel mapping so less heavy lifting on the fuel side for the JB (which is where all the magic happens) not to mention monitoring each cyclinder for advance/timing is always a bonus when pushing the car a little hard.

Loaded up the most aggressive COBB map v401 and ran a quick log and it's running around 18-19psi on pump no meth. Way too boost happy. I'll try a more conservative map tomorrow.

Here's two logs from COBB alone without the JB4. I think the aggressive maps are way too strong to run without meth. Boost peaks around 18.5 psi and tapers to around 14. The Sport however is a lot better timing and AFR wise (still strong IMO). Boost peaks around 16psi and tapers to just under 12. I'll have more time soon to do more thorough testing. I think it's a good tune. Nice and easy to use. Love my JB4 even more now.

Are you going to drop back to Cobb Stage 1 when you start stacking JB4 with meth?

Definitely. While I do really enjoy how quick she powers up at such low rpm on the aggressive map, it's just strange how they can do it while running 2-4 degrees of advance up top. I'm so use to piggy backs so the load, targets, boost and timing of this flash is very intriguing.

Setup the meth with the COBB and all looks good in the logs. I haven't run it aggressive as yet but will do. Currently running a Stg1 Sport map on the COBB which yields peak boost around 13.5psi tapered to around 10. Then add another 2psi on top through the JB4 and boost hits close to 16psi. Timing, fuel and targets are all perfect. Now I just need to increase the boost to around 18psi and see how it shapes up.
