Quaife Final Drive Unit for your 135i available at HP Autosport, Inc.
The wait is over!
Quaife ATB LSD, The Ultimate Differential is now available as a complete ready to install Quaife Final Drive Unit(pumpkin) at HP Autowerks, Inc. with limited supply. Don't know what a Final Drive Unit looks like on your BMW?***see #1 in the parts illustration below*** That means no more searching for local BMW shops with the knowledge tooling for the Qauife install. Now, it is simply remove your final drive and install the Quaife final drive! Some information on Quaife ATB: "The Quaife torque biasing differential enables your car to accelerate quicker and corner faster. How? By getting the power to the ground!" "In drag-race style, straight-line acceleration runs, this results in a close to ideal 50/50 power split to both drive wheels, resulting in essentially twice the grip of an ordinary differential (they don't call open diffs "peglegs" for nothing). In cornering, while accelerating out of a turn, the Quaife biases power to the outside wheel, reducing inside-wheel spin. This allows the driver to begin accelerating earlier, exiting the corner at a higher speed." Price is $3750.00 plus freight. Usually runs about $95 to the 48 States. Current special is $3595! Availability is changing daily, please contact us when placing your order. Harold Last edited by HP Autosport; 04-14-2016 at 06:48 PM.. |

As far as we know, all 135i came with a welded ring gear. The only solution is to replace the complete final drive unit with a Quaife Final Drive or have your existing final drive unit modified by Birds Auto in the UK, which means lots of down time and freight charges across the pond.

So basically.... we are talking about:
- a whole differential housing with final gear from BMW *** - a Quaife ATB ment for that particular differential housing *** Is this the one off the E90 335i ?? Please confirm this (if you can...) All these items precisely installed and tested by Birds in the UK and shipped out to HP Auto in the USA and then re-shipped to the customer (or directly swapped by you at your site)... is that right? Is the supplied final drive somehow "shorter" than the original 135i one? Thanks, Karlenstein

In some cases we use a low mileage final drive when available and the price will be lower. Either 3.08 or 3.46 can be build depends on your application and use. If you have a manual(3..08), you can step up to the 3.46 for faster acceleration. Since no ring gear modification is needed(bolted final drive from the 335i). Everything is installed here in the USA and tested. Harold |
