Lets talk 17s for a bit though... If i can fit a 17" comfortably in the the fenders with the same 245/265 setup (or bigger if possible) i'd be a big fan! Any one have suggestions for size and set up here.

17x8.5 +40ish ? 245/45/17???
17x9.5 +60ish ? 265/40/17???

Buying wheels and tires for this car is alot more complicated than a MINI. I'd like to get some Hoosier-daddys before AX season.

If these come available in the next month i'd prolly get a set to save the hastle of trying to piece something to gether my self.
That 17x8.5 ET40 already exists in the LTW5. I have them on my car. It is the rears that are not available in the size you are looking for. But the 17x8.5 fit nicely on all 4 corners.

I don't really like the polished lip but I'm defintely interested in running a set that wide... Are there any different style wheels that are going to be available?

is the size appropriate for the rears i was talking about? 17x9.5 +60 ish??

assuming that I could order that size what size tires fit without rubbing?? assuming no fender rolling. She'll prolly get camber plates and suspension. - I think that if they fit and tires are cheaper It may be worth while ordering some rims that you could max out the tire on 17s. especially for the track and AX where saving on tires could pay for a couple sets of wheels.

Sorry for rambling:drinking:

A set of LTW-5s that can fit 255(f)/275(r) tires and bolt right onto my 135 would pretty much be a dream come true.
Well, almost a dream come true.
Those rims in polished black with a red lip instead of silver (as listed on the mfr site) would be perfect. Example from another thread. Idk if those are LTWs but I imagine those are probably a similar design.

For that dream Ill throw down a preorder right now =P

he highest we can get the wheels in is a 18x9.5 +57 offset. Going by my calculations this will easily swallow a 265, and will also fit most 275's with zero fender mods. Just plug and perform.

Are you guys ready for a pre-order on these? We're looking at a spring delivery.

I'll pony up some money for a set of these to help get them built, but only for LTW5s.

We're going full steam ahead.

D-Force is sending us a 18x9.5 wheel blank. We will have the wheel backpad machined down to a +57mm offset and conduct a live test fitment of the wheel on our 135. Results to follow next week.

Awesome! Throw some 275's, or even better, 285's on it, and watch the orders pile in.

I may have a set of LTW5's for sale very soon, if this works out.

why only a 18x9.5 blank? they make 18x10, and those'll fit with the correct offset...

I cannot come to one reason why anybody would need a 255F and 275R setup on a daily driven 135i?

^^^^ That's classic!

But seriously, having a wide setup isn't neccesary. But since many of you guys who are upgrading your wheels anyhow, you might as well get a setup that will perform better for just about the same cost. With this setup, you are maximizing your performance potential.

Hey, I know the guys over at D-Force. Maybe I can block my competition from getting a set, if I play my cards right.
