Sorry for the delay, yep I do have the standard exhaust so don't know if these are helpful.. second pic shows a very slight gap on the side of the diffuser, doesnt seem to clip in 100% (maybe the tabs which Rein mentioned) but it does not move and you can't really notice it at all

Does anyone have an opinion on which is the best quality BMW performance rep diffuser. I am looking at either the louiellp ebay one, or the JC sportline. These come in shipped to the UK at around £250-300. Anyone others they can recommend for this price.

I cannot find the Icarbon one anywhere.

Rich...the opinions on the "best" diffuser are sprinkled liberally throughout all 10 pages of this thread.
You're ultimately going to have to sift through and make up your own mind.

For info, I ordered a diffuser 4 days ago
I proposed 250$ (instead of 300$) to direcparts4u and they accepted.
(+100$ shipping to France), it costs me 260-270 euros
It will cost you 230GBP shipped for the same diffuser

And a French forum member ordered and received one from Louiellp, he didn't like it, and sent it back to HK, but he's not a reference, he likes the Bastuck Quad diffuser, haha.

Thanks for that!! Is that the JC sportline you are referring too? Do you have a link?

Thanks

Don't forget to add 20% VAT & Import Duty. This diffuser will cost between £280-£290 based on an offer of $250 being accepted from DirectParts4u. If going for the $300 JCS or louiellp diffuser it will cost between £310 & £320.

Rich, I'm referring to the diffuser bought by ///Chase (page 8)

Yes Jamjay, same problem for France
That's why I asked the dealer to lower the value on the parcel
as I always do for items coming from US.
(private : do you have pics of your 135i with the spacers ?)

Mine from directparts4u :
finally received and installed (1 week to do China - France)

- Fitment is good, but not perfect 8/10 (I can't fit a screw in the passenger side hole, I will drill a little hole next time.)
- Quality is very good
- Price, perfect 250$ best offer +100$ shipping + 55$ customs = 300 euros instead of 1100-1200euros
- Shipping : Very fast but pricey (100$)

Finally, I'm happy with this diffuser

Next time I'll buy his carbon spoiler replica.

Ripper, I'm considering this one as well. Did you find the weave of the CF to look good? If there are noticeable imperfections I may go with the BMWP one but not crazy about paying the $$$

I'm not a carbon expert almsfan, for me the finish is really good.
I looked for imperfections and I didn't found one. (no bubble or something)

For the price it worths the money.
The big amount of bucks I saved will go for other mods.

Yeah, some close up pics of the weave would be good. There seem to be imperfections in all the others. Hopefully they're getting better and better at making these though.

I think alms meant are all the lines in the carbon nice and straight and well lined-up? Some diffusers have some wonky bits.

Here is the daytime pic, just installed it last night... I adjusted it by starting right to left and flexing the bump slightly to eliminate the slight gap then tighten the screws. The gap wasn't that big to begin with and with out looking carefully you can't really see it, but me being anal i had to get rid of it.

The weave was good, a few spots here and there but you really have to look for it to see. All the holes did line up perfectly and no cracks on it... Overall its a great buy and looks great on the car.
